In our working dog training program, we cover Personal Protection development, all Sport dog training development and law enforcement K9 development. With Calvin’s years of experience in all fields, 1st mind K9 can teach your dog individual tasks that involves basic/advanced obedience, competition obedience, bite development, detection and more. this program is available for 3 to 6 months at a time, depending on the dog’s evaluation. In these development programs, Calvin works your dog according to his Training formula that allows your dog to develop properly in any area you choose. After the dog has completed either the 3-month or 6-month program, Calvin writes out what it will take (A plan) for your dog to continue and finish in any area of work, that you’ve chosen for your dog. You have the option to allow Calvin to help you find a trainer in your area to finishes the dog out. When the dog is done, it can always come back for more work/tune up training upon request!

For any kind of working dog training, there is an evaluation to evaluate your dog’s Drive, Environmental and socialization levels. Drive is the will and desire to want to do any activity by performing their natural instincts of prey and hunt. We typically associate this with wanting to really work for food and for bite equipment. Environmental includes places and things that a dog will have to encounter, while performing either task you set out for the dog to perform. Socialization involves being in contact with people and other animals. In order for a dog to be suitable and complete any type of work, they will need to meet all three of these requirements.

This program is suitable for puppies and adults that are capable, healthy and willing to do the work.
